Someone made the remark recently that I have a quote for every situation. That’s not true, because some events or situations simply leave me speechless. But, I do have a tendency to remember quotes. Unfortunately, I also have difficulty remembering who said them :)
From time to time I’ll be sharing some of my favorite quotes, and hopefully will be able to give credit to the proper person for them.
“Act like you got some raising.” -- Isn’t that just one of the most southern phrases you've ever heard? I have no clue who was the first person to use this phrase, but I can tell you that my grandmother said this to me often. Now I say it to my children, and I imagine someday they’ll say it to their children.
“It is no sin to attempt and fail. The only sin is not to make the attempt.” -- Suellen Fried
“I can’t change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.” -- Jimmy Dean
If you have a favorite quote, I’d love to hear it!

With few exceptions (like todays post) I start every blog entry with a quote. I love them...
Can't say as I have a favorite since my mood changes on a dime, but feel free to check out the past few posts and you'll get the idea that I have an odd sense of humor!
Congrats on your new book, and thanks for visiting over at my blog.
So, Never Ending love is getting published. The story of Clint and Trish is beyond the tenth chapter, where you left me hanging almost three years ago.
Congratulations! Still miss the writing group with you, Kris (Dee) Karen (Shannon) and Gail (Katelyn now).
Published Runners Part One last year. You can find it on Amazon or BN. Even has you in it. (acknowledgements)
Thanks for stopping by.
Marianne, I'll be checking out your quotes.
John, so sweet of you to include me in the acknowledgments! I'll definitely look for the book the next I'm shopping on Amazon (which is waaaay to often).
Love the "Act like you've got some raising"
I'm bad with quotes too. I never say them right.
One of my favorite quotes? "Never be jealous of what others have unless you're willing to do what they did to get it." Joyce Myer
I only remember quotes that have absolutely no revelance to life, but I like them anyway. My favorite is from the book The Original Adventures of Hank the Cowdog "What would you do if I peed on your tires?" Yeah, try to fit that one into everyday conversation!
Oh, nice one, Dana.
Dulcie...I'm LOL at yours!
